When a child is born in those precious eyes there, lies a world of oppurtunities. For a short time they are untouched or corrupted by this fading world. They live off of dreams and know the possibilities available to all. They do not see a poor dirty man on the street they see a human being in need. They do not see the glass as half empty but half full.
But there comes a time in every child's life when they are changed and see the world as it is and no longer as it should be. It is a pity when we lose this sight.
Some of our youngest don't even have a chance to make it that far.
But the world will indeed be a better place
If we can just for once see through the eyes of a child.

Not every abused child comes forward and say they are being abused. It is the little things they say and do that makes the difference. Fear has them gripped to tightly for them to say.
The things Kelsey said and how reacted to should have told her mother something was wrong.
Within the last few months of her life Kelsey began self-mutilation. She bit herself till it bled or would pick at her scabs till it bled. If Raye did not want to take Kelsey's word she could have looked into Kelsey's eyes and see what there was. Fear.
When Raye first began dating Michael Porter Kelsey said "Daddy Mike mean".
But Raye ignored it. Everything Kelsey said made sense after her death when it was to late. People began listening when a two year old had died.

Please if a child is saying he or she is being abused. Listen.

How could Raye Dawn know what Mike Porter (the man she trusted, the man she married, the man everyone said was a great man, the man Kelsey called "daddy Mike") did to her precious daughter behind her back? Everyone who were in and out of their home didn't see it. And they are TRAINED to see it! Yes, she is Kelsey's mom, but try to put yourself in her shoes. Raye Dawn thought Kelsey were suffering from a illness, that's why she took her daughter to the doctor 8 times! By the way, if she enabling the abuse, why did she take her daughter to the doctor so many times? If she did enabling the abuse, she would've tried to hide it, wouldn't she? Try to put away all of the lies that has been told in this case. The truth needs to be told, so Kelsey can rest in peace.
